FAQs

DOES IT HURT?

We apply topical anesthetic in advance to minimize discomfort. Once the treatment is complete, your skin may feel slightly uncomfortable (like a sunburn), but that sensation passes quickly.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

At Beach Microneedling, we have the lowest prices in town, at $200/treatment, The treatment plan is 3-6 treatments (depending on goals and your individual skin), spaced apart every 4-6 weeks. Packages: 3 treatments for $550 (a $50 savings) or 6 treatments for $1000 (buy 5, get one free).

HOW DOES THE DEVICE WORK?

The needle “pen” is an electric needling device, It uses sterile, single-use cartridges with 12 needles. allows the practitioner to adjust needle depth (from .25-2.5 mm) for specific areas,  giving the patient the most effective procedure possible. The pen glides across the skin to create tiny needle wounds. This signals the body to respond by producing collagen and elastin fibers. As a result, the skin becomes fuller, thus reducing the appearance of scars, lines, and wrinkles. The small spot size allows easy treatment of delicate areas around the eyes and hard-to-reach spots, like the sides of the nose. This skin needling treatment is highly effective, and has limited risks and minimal downtime. Needle depths of 1.5-2.0mm extend into the second skin layer (the dermis), where collagen and elastin are produced.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS? HOW OFTEN?

The short answer is 3-6 treatments, depending on the condition of your skin. Treatments should be scheduled 4 weeks apart and no sooner-overstimulation causes the opposite effect and can break down collagen instead of building it up.

HOW DOES MICRONEEDLING COMPARE TO BOTOX AND LASER RESURFACING?

Botox injects toxins into the body, creating temporary paralysis, and can result in a somewhat “frozen” look. Facial expressions will be affected. Results last up to 3 months. Laser treatments burn off surface skin layers, and are proven effective in the long term. They are much more expensive than MicroNeedling, and can require two to three weeks to heal, depending on depth, before the new skin is fully healed. Laser treatments are pretty intense and painful. Microneedling leaves the skin intact-the many “punctures” are closed within 60 minutes after treatment. Results are lasting. Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy and percutaneous (through the skin) collagen induction.

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling is safe for ALL skin types, and many skin conditions. This is because the surface skin (epidermis) is left intact, reducing the risk of hyperpigmentation even on the darkest skin. You’re a candidate if you seek help with: mild to moderate acne scarring; fine lines and wrinkles; loose, lax skin; skin tone and texture; and pore size.

WHAT ARE CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR MICRONEEDLING?
